The fearsome rattlesnake Hiss becomes bored with his Sonoran Desert home and goes to Tucson, where he meets the frog Croak. Croak saves his own life by tempting Hiss with a Coke and french fries at McDonald's. Deciding it is easier going to the drive-through window than hunting lizards in the city, Hiss becomes obese on a diet of fries and Cokes and lonesome for his desert home. On his return trip home, however, Hiss is attacked and eaten by a roadrunner because he doesn't have the energy to defend himself.
